Ivette Lopez is creative director of Fuego Dance Co. She has been dancing for 24 years and counting. Specializing in jazz funk, contemporary, hip-hop, heels and Latin dance styles. She has received numerous awards, titles, and scholarships throughout her years in competitive dance. At a young age, she was honored to receive a summer intensive scholarship to Los Angeles to work with some of the world’s iconic choreographers of all time, such as Travis Payne, Vince Paterson, Brian Friedman, and many more. Most of her core training of dance, theatre, and vocal coaching took place in her hometown of Indianapolis, IN for over 10 years. Her family moved to Florida during her high school years where she quickly dove right back into the performing arts; but not having a place to call her “dance home”, Ivette founded the dance team at Osceola High school in 2004. Right after graduation she went on to perform for Disney World Resort in Orlando and loved every second of it. Throughout her college years, she was a member of the CoMotion Dance Company for St Petersburg College where she gained her knowledge in modern & contemporary dance. She continued to perform up to 2016 with Cheer Girl Entertainment, as well as choreograph for a variety of different dance groups around the Tampa Bay area, thru the years. After teaching dance for all ages & levels, she found an extending new passion for creative directing. Creating a community of adult dance in Pinellas county to develop a variety of dance concept videos, such “Senorita”, “Power”, and many more. Ivette is hired as a dance adjudicator for a variety of national dance competitions where she travel around the USA to judge competitive dance. In Summer 2019 Mrs Lopez was selected to showcase at Show Stoppers Miami, where her choreography was chosen to debut alongside some of todays biggest choreographers, in the Latin artist industry.
Yearning to create unique choreography & styles with todays dancers, Ivette Lopez is ecstatic to be starting a new journey where she can resonate her passion of dance to the, dancers, families, and community!
